Stroudsburg, PA – Pocono Mountains United Way received a $40,000 contribution from Sanofi for the Bridges Out of Poverty Program.
“We are very grateful for Sanofi’s continued support of the Bridges Out of Poverty Program. They are working as hard as we are to strengthen this community,” said Michael Tukeva, President/CEO of Pocono Mountains United Way.
The Bridges Out of Poverty Program seeks solutions to address poverty in our community that inspire hope. The primary goal of the program is to engage individuals, social services, employers, and institutions to address poverty. Individuals living in poverty are given the opportunity to explore their circumstances and build plans of self-sufficiency, while the greater community develops empathy and creates economic development opportunities that strengthen the social fabric of Monroe County.
“Sanofi is committed to the health and well-being of Monroe County’s residents and we feel the Bridges Out of Poverty Program is providing a foundation to help people improve their lives,” said Ellyn Schindler, Director, Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Engagement, Sanofi.
