Bridging and Belonging: MLK Day of Service

As MLK Day approaches, we’re inspired by Dr. King’s vision of a compassionate and united community. Pocono Mountains United Way is committed to turning this day into a force for positive change through our MLK Day of Service: Unity Through Service.

Join us in bridging gaps to create a stronger, more inclusive community. On MLK Day, our shared goal is clear: make a difference through service and volunteering. Explore opportunities at www.volunteermonroe.org, building a movement of positive change in the lives of others. This platform serves as a bridge between individuals and the causes that need our support. It’s not just about a moment of service but about building a movement of positive change in the lives of others.

But our commitment doesn’t stop there. Discover transformational bridging—connecting beyond tasks. Contact us for coordinated transformational bridging activities throughout the county. Together, we can create a space where we listen deeply, understand one another’s humanity, and challenge ourselves to change the status quo.

In our pursuit of unity and justice, let us actively address racial equity. Join us in dismantling barriers and fostering an environment where all voices are heard. Together, we can build bridges that span racial divides and create lasting change.

As we engage in the MLK Day of Service, let’s remember it’s an ongoing process towards Dr. King’s dream of unity. We are committed to LIVE UNITED and giving back, and MLK Day presents a unique opportunity to connect through meaningful actions. Let’s serve, learn, and grow together, fostering belonging and community.
