Pennsylvania Homeowner Assistance Fund (PAHAF) Reopening Announcement

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) announced the reopening of the Pennsylvania Homeowner Assistance Fund (PAHAF) on Monday, March 18, 2024. The initiative aims to provide vital financial assistance to homeowners who continue to face challenges due to pandemic-related financial hardships.

PAHAF offers eligible homeowners financial support for mortgage and housing-related expenses, with the primary goal of addressing delinquency and preventing default, foreclosure, or displacement from their homes.

Interested Pennsylvania homeowners are encouraged to visit www.pahaf.org for comprehensive information, eligibility requirements, and instructions on how to submit their application.

Key Details:

Date: Monday, March 18, 2024

Website: www.pahaf.org

Distribution Method: Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible new applicants until the remaining monies are exhausted. Priority will be given to homeowners facing imminent adverse actions (IAA), such as foreclosure notices, sheriff sales, or utility shut-off notices.

Important Notes:

Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.

PHFA has allocated sufficient funds to process the remaining pending applications.

We urge all eligible homeowners in Pennsylvania to take advantage of this vital opportunity for financial assistance. Together, we can support our communities and help families maintain stability during these challenging times.
