Meet Jonathan Carrero – a guy who’s all about building connections and making a difference! As part of the Community & Business Development team at ESSA Bank & Trust, he spends his days growing relationships, helping businesses thrive, and getting involved in the community.

Jonathan’s passion for giving back comes from his own experiences. Growing up in Elizabeth, NJ, he saw firsthand how much a strong community can change lives—food pantries, after-school programs, and summer camps made a huge impact on him. Now, he’s paying it forward through United Way, serving on the finance panel for the Resource Investment Process and rolling up his sleeves for Day of Caring with Meals on Wheels.

When he’s not out making things happen, you can find Jonathan hiking, cooking up something delicious, or spending time with his big (and we mean BIG) family. Oh, and did we mention? He also plays the violin! 🎻
