Unlocking Potential with Project Equity and @fundraiserchad: Successful Community Fundraising Development

Stroudsburg, PA- Pocono Mountains United Way’s Project Equity initiative, in collaboration with renowned fundraising expert Chad Barger (@fundraiserchad), successfully hosted the ‘Fundraising Effectiveness Training’ this past Monday at NCC-Monroe. The event, aimed at enhancing the fundraising capabilities of community organizations, saw active participation from dedicated individuals committed to fostering a thriving and equitable community in the Pocono Mountains. This training was subsidized by Pocono Mountains United Way to minimize the fundraising gap and reduce barriers to participation.

Robyn Weaver, Equity Officer of Pocono Mountains United Way shared the following:

Highlights from the Training:

• Empowering Board of Directors: Chad Barger, CFRE, ACNP, led a 90-minute session designed to empower board members as effective and engaged fundraisers.
• Practical Toolkit for Success: Attendees received a comprehensive toolkit comprising practical tips and exercises to implement with their board of directors.
• Building Community Bonds: The workshop facilitated collaboration among participants, addressing common fundraising challenges and providing actionable solutions.
