Community Volunteer Spotlight on Bob Moses

Donors of “time, talent, and treasure” to Pocono Mountains United Way create the changes and improved outcomes that make life better for all of us. Bob has been a United Way supporter for decades. To know Bob is to know a true philanthropist. Bob is a member of many local nonprofit boards and organizations, and gives freely of his time and expertise to provide guidance and insight to groups and individuals.

“For me volunteering sometimes seems selfish as I often think that I get more out of it than the agency or organization that I am supporting. I do it because it feels good! In the development world we often hear about the three T’s: time, talent, and treasure. Most of us can donate some time to an organization whose mission we support; we all have a skill set that could benefit a non-profit agency; and if we are in a position to make a monetary donation it can go a long way to supporting a cause we believe in.”

Bob served as Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Residence Life & Housing East Stroudsburg University until his retirement. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Kathy, for 44 years until her passing in 2013. They have two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Krista in Hoboken, NJ and Christopher and Brittany in Atlanta, GA.
