ABELOFF KIA DONATES $1,062 TO POCONO MOUNTAINS UNITED WAY

March 7, 2022

Abeloff Kia today announced that it intends to make a $1,062 donation to the Pocono Mountains United Way. The donation is part of a larger initiative implemented by Kia America in which the automaker joins with its nationwide retailer network to support local communities.

“We are proud to announce this donation to Pocono Mountains United Way. The work that they do regarding community-wide initiatives makes a huge difference to us all, and we are honored to be a part of this positive impact on our community,” said Jason Motts, President of Abeloff Auto Group. “With the support of Kia America, the impact we’ve seen here in Poconos will go a long way to help the overall community.”

Abeloff Kia’s donation is a continuation of Kia America’s highly successful “Accelerate The Good” charitable program, which was implemented in 2019. Previous Kia America initiatives addressed a wide range of causes including the fight against youth homelessness, production of personal protective equipment (PPE) for front line medical workers in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, support of high school football programs that lost funding during the pandemic, and hurricane relief programs.

“Local businesses giving back is what Living United is about. This year, Pocono Mountains United Way will be celebrating 80 years of service in Monroe County, thanks to amazing community support, “said Michael Tukeva, President and CEO of Pocono Mountains United Way. “We appreciate Abeloff Kia for giving back and supporting our work through this donation.”

Abeloff Kia is part of the Abeloff Auto Group which has been in the Poconos for over 60 years.
