Stroudsburg, PA. In its 11th year, the annual Shawnee Riverfest fundraiser concert returns on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 11:30 am at the historic Shawnee Inn on the Delaware. Shawnee Inn will be recognized for its support of the annual concert, as well as community partner St. Luke’s University Health Network celebrating five years in Monroe County.

Shawnee Riverfest, a free, family friendly concert to help Pocono Mountains United Way provide free developmental screenings, attracts almost 2,500 people on the banks of the scenic Delaware River. Founded in 2011, the festival has continued to grow every year with the help of community partners, participating vendors, and the Poconos community. “The support of Shawnee Inn over so many years has been a key part in the success of Shawnee Riverfest. This concert enables us to come together in support of developmental screenings, which are key to ensuring a child’s readiness to learn and school success,” said Michael Tukeva, President and CEO of Pocono Mountains United Way.

This year’s Riverfest will feature performances from Fusia School of Dance, energetic and fun filled music from DJ Que and Zumba with Ascendance Fitness and multiple music acts including Kayla Rae, Stephanie Campbell, Shawnee Playhouse cast, Iziz Enferma De La Salsa, Second Street Players, Tre Mutava, Wild Planes and multiple vendors. Special recognition will be given to Don Seiple, President of St. Luke’s University Health Network which has supported early childhood initiatives at Pocono Mountains United Way. Backpacks with school supplies will also be distributed at the event on a first come- first served basis.
