Better Food For Pantries

TANNERSVILLE, PA., March 26th, 2018 –  A Hunger Action Workshop was held all day on Monday, March 26th, 2018 at Northampton Community College, Monroe Campus in Tannersville, Pa, with dozens of food pantry directors, volunteers and community service agencies present. The event served as an opportunity to present the research results of ESU MPH candidate, Sydney Huerbin, who conducted a Nutritional Food Assessment of Monroe County’s Emergency and Supplemental Food Providers in partnership with United Way of Monroe County.

Monroe County Unites

TANNERSVILLE, PA., March 9th, 2018 – Over 20 non-profit directors and 40+ community volunteers met today, Friday, March 9th, to kick off United Way of Monroe County’s annual Community Investment process. This is when volunteers help decide in which programs United Way should invest campaign dollars to help solve critical community problems.

Media Release: Women Helping Women

TANNERSVILLE, PA. On Friday, February 9th, WOMEN UNITED and its members distributed Valentine’s Boxes destined for over 300 struggling single mothers across Monroe County. WOMEN UNITED, affiliated with United Way of Monroe County, is a new group of dedicated women working together to make Monroe County a stronger community through philanthropy, advocacy and volunteerism. The group visited United Way partner agencies across the county to distribute these unique boxes for single mothers in need.
