SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training)
SMART Recovery is a 4 point program: 1. Building and Maintaining Motivation 2. Coping with Urges 3. Managing thoughts, feelings and behaviors 4. Lifestyle Balance For each point there are tools based in science and psychology to help the individual achieve the goals of the specific point. SMART Recovery believes there are numerous paths to abstinence and recovery and individuals are best served when they “Discover the Power of Choice” and select the recovery option they believe will suit their Personal recovery goals.
