Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance

Northeast Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA-Alliance) houses a nonprofit resource center and is the region’s only Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. We sponsor a community awards program (Pocono Northeast Community Awards) to honor projects that improve the quality of life in Northeast PA. NEPA-Alliance is currently developing a regional association of grantmakers as well as a micro loan program to benefit nonprofit organizations and economically distressed areas. We serve seven counties in Northeast PA, including Monroe County. NEPA-Alliance houses an extensive assortment of funding sources references, professional newsletters and periodicals, philanthropic information and related reference materials. We offer training programs such as grantwriting, board development, nonprofit management and other subjects aimed toward identifying resources and opportunities for nonprofits to improve their operations. Grant information, referral service, foundation profiles and all other resources are available to the general public at no cost. Members of our Nonprofit Organization Assistance Center receive discounts to workshops, seminars and programs, as well as our quarterly newsletter and email updates about funding opportunities. We are a 501(c)3 affiliate of the NEPA Alliance, the economic development council of Northeast PA.
