Fitzmaurice Community Services – Residential Services

Fitzmaurice Community Services offers residential options for individuals with developmental disabilities and for mental health consumers. Options for persons with developmental disabilites include: Community Homes: Small homes (3-4 persons) that are located close to schools, shops, churches and bus routes. 24-hour supervision is provided. Supported Living Services: Persons needing less than 30 hours a week of services qualify for this option. Persons live in their own homes or apartments either on their own or with housemates. Life Sharing: This licensed service is available to individuals who prefer to live in a family home. Families are thoroughly screened and trained. Options for Mental Health Consumers include: Personal Care Homes: Personal Care Homes provide a wide array of services for individuals in small home-like settings. Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR): Rehabilitation Services for persons with serious and persistent mental illness are provided in home-like settings . Persons choosing this service will be actively involved in their rehabilitation. Supportive Housing: Permanent community-based housing with supportive housing services offerd to enable homeless persons with disabilities to live as independently as possible in a permanent setting. Supervised Living: Designed to prepare individuals to become more independent and assist with their transition into independent community living. These 24-hour supervised homes house 3-4 persons and are located close to schools, shops, churches and bus routes, emphasizing community involvement. Independent Living: This residential environment is consumer operated and requires no staff supervision. However, staff is available if the need for assistance is required.
