Center for Independent Living – CIL

The Center for Independent Living is an organization run by and for persons with disabilities that assists persons with a wide variety of disabilities to achieve and maintain an independent as defined and requested by the individual(s) seeking such assistance. The Center strives, through advocacy and collective action, to remove those architectural and attitudinal barriers which prevent people with disabilities from exercising their rights, achieving personal independence and participating fully in the life of the community. Training and services at the Center help empower consumers to take responsibility for their own lives and integrate into the community.
